The aim of this qualification is to provide potential team leaders/managers with a foundation for their personal development in this role. 

Course Units and Learning Outcomes  (Total Credits = 25):

  • Be able to critically assess own beliefs, attitudes and value systems
  • Be able to critically assess the validity of management theories in relation to own beliefs, attitudes and values
  • Understand the factors that may affect performance and motivation in the work place
  • Be able to improve levels of motivation and increase performance in the workplace
  • Understand how to use lean production and improvement methods to measure and analyse service problems
  • Understand how to develop a service improvement project using lean production and improvement methodologies
  • Be able to undertake a service delivery improvement project using lean production and improvement methodologies
  • Be able to develop a report on the outcomes of the service improvement project
